Think Like an Artist, Art Quilt Workshop

I spent last week getting things under control. What a wonderful workshop....really pulled the creativity out of you.. Here are a few of my works of art, still in process, but I'm excited about the possibilities.

At the Edinburgh Castle

This was quite an event. Once we arrived, greeted by a bagpiper, we were led to the castle precipice for champagne.

Our Trip to Scotland

We took this picture before the open party at the Edinburgh Castle. It was quite an event, a beautiful evening, crisp but clear to look over the city from the castle.

Trip to Guatemala

What a great trip, textiles, color, beautiful weather. Priscilla showed us her beautiful country, people and rich fiber history. It was a wonderful trip. We met a wonderful group of worldly travellers, most of us in Guatemala for the first time.

Although a poor country, the people we met along our journey were friendly, happy and usually smiling. The areas we visited were Guatemala City, Antigua, Chichi, Lake Atitlan and the villages around the lake.

Sunny Florida

I'm finally away from the cold North and down visiting my son and family in Florida. Anything is warmer than Michigan this past week. 60's and 70"s is quite acceptable. Enjoying just getting warm and being with family. My creativity will have to wait til I get home. Although I'll probably make some curtains for my grandson's bedroom.

I'm trying to get all my old projects finished up before starting new ones..... These are sweaters, jackets, things that have not had the final touch put on them. It is a necessity to finish them. Before all the daily complications of life start taking over again. I've also been reorganizing my studio space. I really don't want to get stuck doing that over and over, but as with everyone, things keep getting dropped on the table in the studio and not put away. On to my busy, busy day.
